Plato's attention has been drawn to this little interview with Sir David King [ former Chief Government Adviser].
He wants a climate scientist to sit on the Bank of England's Monitory Policy Committee. What a stupid idea - even if we were all going to be fried to death, what possible logic is there to have someone like this advising on interest rates?
I wonder who he has in mind? The Head of the IPCC perhaps who appears to have an interesting conflict of interest or several. Or Prf Phil Jones of the infamous CRU, or Prf Andrew "Arsehole" Watson? Or any of the most prominent people who seem to have a loose relationship with established scientific best practice.
Mr King claims that there is no dissent or disagreement over global warming - the presenter was rather surprised to hear that!

I propose Lord Monkton. He seems quite thorough.
