I can't vote for a progressive, liberal Conservative party candidate like that.
"To those who dream of a better society and never voted Tory before... "
Socialists?
Do conservatives dream of a better society? Society is what it is - individuals trying to do the best for themselves and the people care about. It is about the State trusting people to make rational decisions that suit their needs rather than the State defining what is rational and trying to make everyone conform. Communities organising themselves without needing 'community organisers', nannies and ninnies telling them what they must do, how they must live and what they can and cannot say. People helping their neighbours becuase they know them and look out for them not because some jobsworth in a uniform has instructed us to. People finding their own life/work balance not one prescribed by the Government. Donating to charity by choice not through the machinations of Government.(Why are we funding so many when we don't have a say in that spending?)
Many of the problems Dave says His party will address have been worsened by Government interference. More Government interference will not solve them.
"to deliver progressive change that we all want to see..."
Stop claiming to represent me when you don't. Brown does the same and his claim is just as specious.
Dave's idea of 'progressive' is not mine. Leave the EU. Small Government. Less intrusion. Lower taxes. Less legislation. Politicians that actually represent us in Parliament rather than representing Parliament in their constituencies.
By claiming to be the party for everyone and simultaneously promising 'more rules' he is no better than the current PM.
Amiable post and this enter helped me alot in my college assignement. Say thank you you for your information.
